How does it work?

WorldBorn has two modes:

• Editor mode: where you build and customize.
• Showcase mode: pure immersive viewing (no interface distractions).

You can even lock it in Showcase mode and share it as a full-screen web page — via your own site or platforms like Netlify — so others can explore your world like a standalone experience.

Once you have unzipped the file, simply double-click on WorldBorn.exe located at the root of the software folder.

2. How do I start a new project?

• First, load your main map!

• Switch to Editor Mode (top center toggle) and use the panel at the bottom-left to select your map image.

• Make sure your map file is placed in the maps/ folder.

• You can also preview and select the image directly.

Pro Tip:
Optimize large map files using the built-in Image Optimizer to avoid slow performance.
Supported formats: .jpg, .png, .jfif.

WorldBorn makes it easy to transform static maps into interactive experiences:

• Lock your project in Showcase Mode and export it as a standalone file.

• Once locked as a standalone file, the project becomes view-only. Be sure to save a backup before locking!

6. What if I want to make quick adjustments?

• Use the middle mouse button to move a zone without triggering its editor.

• Just place your audio files in the audio/ folder, and they’ll be available for any interactive zone.

• Keep your map and layer images below 10MB for smooth performance.

• Use the Image Optimizer to reduce file size without losing quality.

• Toggle Fullscreen Mode with the F key to maximize your immersive experience.

9. Can I use WorldBorn for other settings besides fantasy?

10. Can I change the map’s look after locking it in standalone mode?

Once you lock your project as a standalone, it becomes read-only.
